Lenovo - IdeaPad 15.6" Laptop - 6GB Memory - 750GB Hard Drive - Graphite Gray-Model: P500 - 59345704

I purchased the Lenovo Ideapad P500 for my birthday from Best Buy a while back, and I love it.

I'll list the pros and cons of this system for easy reading

Pros

*2.5 Ghz processor, very fast, can run several processes at once

*HD monitor WITH HDMI out

*beautiful aluminum casing

*comes with Windows 8

*excellent build quality

*runs cool for hours

*simulated surround sound speakers

*750 GB of storage space

*HD webcam and mic

Cons

*the trackpad is left-oriented

*the trackpad has no spacer to differentiate the left or right button, and in fact, may click the buttons if pressed too hard

*the casing can dig into your hand or wrist when using

*the Intel Centrino 2230 Wireless Card DOES NOT WORK

The Centrino Wireless cards have a reputation for being poorly made (just do a Google search), and no matter how many times you try to install the drivers, you will not be able to get a reliable wireless connection on it for more than an hour or two. The best idea is to buy a $20 USB Wifi receiver to go with it if you do intend on buying this laptop.

Otherwise, it's well worth the money you pay for it.

I've used this laptop every day since receiving it and haven't had any issues. It's super-fast, and I ESPECIALLY love the fact that it doesn't get HOT underneath, since the vent is on the side. The seller got it to me very quick with no issues. Highly recommended.

my faithful desktop took a dive, and this was the perfect replacement. It's fast, sturdy (no cheap plastic bits) and very sleek. Just as good as a mac.

This computer is a great choice. It includes a super sound system with excellent quallity. I do a lot of online gaming and it will run at very high speeds. Overall its a beautiful display and great quality computer.
