I've had my NV5927u for a couple of years now and it's been a great machine. I've edited a feature length movie on it and can still play many of the latest games. It's not a top of the line machine and that should be considered, but for the money I paid, I cannot complain at all.
I purchased the Lenovo Ideapad P500 for my birthday from Best Buy a while back, and I love it.
I was rather surprised this laptop was dark brown. The picture made it appear gray. I'm not fond of the keyboard's feel...large square keys but you get used to it. A good display. The mouse is just a flat panel that sits flush with the keyboard bezel and hard to locate by touch. Also, it has a tendency to ignore me on occasion even though I adjusted it's settings (no sweet spot found). I would have also liked this box to have a phone modem for FAX. It is thin and light weight and should travel well. Its fast, has stable operation, and not loaded down with a lot of junk software. Battery life is reasonable with the "energy star" rating and really does not waste energy with excessive heat. This computer was designed for business use and it fits the description. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase and recommend this laptop.

I've owned my Probook for somewhere in the vicinity of 9 months or so and other than a few minor quirks have been very pleased with this laptop. My model has the Core i5 processor and 4 gigs of ram and is zippier than any laptop I've owned. I run this thing constantly and have never had any issue with overheating or noise. The Probook looks beautiful, I absolutely love it's brushed bronze finish and chiclet keyboard, but my one issue lies with the touchpad, much like other reviewers. I've mostly mastered this problem, but my husband and brother in law both can't use the thing without shrinking the screen. Overall, aside from that one little thing (if it bothers you so much, get a wireless mouse I personally love them) this is a great computer. Oh, and it's a little on the heavy side, but I use mine like a desktop so it's also a non-issue for me. Lap top was fine at first but then problems with connecting wireless internet, 2hours on the phone to India, without a satisfactory result, they promised to send out discs to re install hard drive, unfortunately I was travelling overseas so had to purchase a new laptop as the discs did not arrive in time, one positive outcome was that Amazon did not argue just told me to send it back and they would refund the money.Want HP ProBook 4520s XT944UT 15.6-Inch Laptop Discount?
Yes, the touch-pad is a bit disappointing, but I'm getting used to it already. Otherwise great product for the price. I would recommend this laptop.
Well for one its nice to see that as i sit here and type this review on the computer itself, Lenovo have ditched the old looking IBM thinkpad method and made the modern mac book look stylish and great. This computer is great, oddly enough i got it at office depot, the regular price was 679$ and they are running a special on it now for 499$, yep you heard right. This will only last till 1/15/11 though, get it. I purchased a Toshiba(which i like) but it had the cruddy old AMD turion(which i hate) processor and was slow as a 80 year old woman climbing out of the bath tub. I didnt even realize they had the Toshiba(let alone this) until i actually saw it on the website. So after being disappointed with the Toshiba and its lack luster performance, i saw this on there as well. So i ran back and said hey you don't even have this out yet, so for the price i want it instead, no problem. Also the Toshiba was 549$ with tax! So see it pays to shop around.

Be Sure of the specs. This one does not have the ATI graphics as mentioned. It comes with Integrated graphics only. Laptop is fast but the screen is not very sharp. Webcam is only 0.3MP so can not expect much from it. Speakers are average or may be a notch below. If you are looking for an all purpose machine, you may have better options available for the price. All I can say is WOW! I got this laptop while it was on sale from tigerdirect for $469.99. All I can say is I was expecting some sort of budget laptop for that price, but I ended up with something that feels like a Mac and runs Linux and Windows at crazy speeds. The keyboard is great once you are used to it, the touchpad is a little small and the buttons have a little give to them but those are the only bad traits I can think of. I usually use a wireless mouse, so even that has no effect on me. I usually use the laptop as a desk station to work on 3d imaging, email correspondence, occasional gaming and that sort of thing, Blender runs really well. CoD: MW1 runs great on the lower graphics settings (I was getting 25+ fps even without a dedicated graphics card)I have it hooked up to a 22 inch monitor, and it is running 1680x1024 graphics on that without showing a spike in either RAM or CPU usage. All I can say is I love it. I would suggest it as a perfect buy for anyone looking for a high quality laptop that will preform most tasks well.
Lenovo still makes the best laptopsnot full of free trial ware and junk that you have to delete.
This is my second Toshiba Laptop. The first one still works great but it got confiscated by my family. This new machine has everything. Aside from what most laptops have today, this one sports HDMI, A/V, Monitor and bypass output for all formats of video input/output. The DVD+RW runs smooth, opposed to a Dell I have sitting on my desk in my office. Want to run it through a projectorits ready. Want to hook it into a digital TV, its ready. I did not have a screen problem as a previous reviewer noted. I'd take it back for warranty work if it were mine. This thing is fabulous. While it only has Vista on board, it is updated, so its not full of all the original Vista bugs. Windows 7 is an easy upgrade. If you can find a better laptop for the moneybuy it, I would be surprised.

I did receive my refurbished dell latitud better than I Expected,
The computer was refurbished and in very good condition, it is not as fast as the new models now, but the price savings was worth it, it is being used by my daughter for school work and some games, I am planing on buying a second one for myself.
