Actually, I rarely type reviews, but I have to do so in this case. Due to the rather few number of reviews online (and many of them negative), I just wanted to clear things up so buyers like me can decide whether or not to buy it. (I had to go through hundreds of websites before I finally decided to buy the laptop, a week ago)BUILD QUALITY AND DESIGN: Excellent, excellent, excellent. The design is very sleek and looks fantastic I think that it is the best designed notebook with a keypad. I looked at other color choices, but the matte silver lid (which doesn't really get fingerprints) and the white interiors are really pleasing to the eye. Build quality is also excellent; the notebook feels as sturdy as a lenovo or a mac. As an owner of several brands of laptops, I can say that this is definitely one of the best built laptops.
CPU/GPU PERFORMANCE: O.K. I could have bought a core i3 laptop for the price, but I don't really care. The CPU/integrated GPU are fine for my browsing, multimedia, and office work needs. I realized that I'd rather spend a little more for overall design and build quality rather than CPU performance; you have to make your own choice depending on priorities.
BATTERY LIFE: I've read several reviews slamming the battery life. I get just over 3 hours web browsing over wifi (I don't really visit too many flash-heavy sites) and almost 4 hours with wifi off at about 40-50% brightness; it could be better, but I guess it's not bad considering the size of the laptop.
KEYBOARD AND TRACKPAD: Excellent, excellent, freakingly excellent. My previous laptop also had a chicklet keyboard, but man, this one is awesome! With a full keyboard, separate arrow keys and a numpad, I think this is the best keyboard ever for this type of form factor. You can always check out the keyboard in a store. Since you are going to spend 90% of your time on the keyboard, I think this is a top priority.
The touchpad is also quite good but doesn't support 2-finger scrolling...
DISPLAY: The display is just about average for this class of laptops. Good colors and you can watch videos up to 45 degree angles with a friend.
BLU-RAY: Awesome
SOUND: Could be better, lacks bass, but is clear.
VAIO SOFTWARE: I actually ended up liking most of the media and system software. If you don't like them, you can always uninstall/disable them to improve startup performance/speed. With 4Gb of RAM, I don't really worry though..
QUICKWEB: A dedicated button gets you online in about 20 seconds...No need to boot up windows for a quick web fix...One of the reasons I bought the laptop.
I always regretted not having bought a mac, but not anymore. Everything about this laptop rocks, and I tried and used A LOT of laptops before settling on this one. Would I buy it again? Hell, yeah!

I got this laptop last year during black Friday. I was in need of a new laptop and this just jumped out at me. I decided to take the plunge and go for the $100 extra option. It gave me one more Gigabyte of Ram(4 in total), a Blu-Ray Drive, a laptop bag, The Karate Kid (Blu-Ray), and some Anti-Virus Software (I didn't care about this since it seemed that they just got old software out of a box and gave it away and free virus protection that is better can be found online). So in total I got it for $499.Laptop has been great for the time I have had it. Still does all that I could ever want it to do at good speed. I did configure it a bit to make it boot faster and to have little to no applications running on the back ground. For a laptop with an Intel Pentium 2Gz Dual core and a 320 GB 5400 RPM Hard Drive. My boot up is usually no more than 50 seconds.
Vaio software is really great. Gives you ease of checking for updates for computer and to do computer diagnostics. System Recovery works well with Windows 7.

When I bought it, $500 made sense for a laptop like this. Now I would say the price tag should be around $300-$350 for a laptop with these specs. The things this laptop have going for it is the Blu Ray player and the great keyboard. So far I will keep using my laptop for school but I am looking forward to upgrading to a much more powerful desktop in the near future.This computer is a bit on the heavy side especially when needing to carry along to study groups. All in all the computer works great for basic student needs (essays, research, excel). I use it everyday and it hasnt crashed or gave me any issues whatsoever along with webroot security essentials. Sitting in a library studying next to many mac users doesnt make me feel out of place with an equally elegant designed sony vaio either.

One of the worst experience with Amazon and Galactics. The laptop is not working from the day it arrived. Why I have to go through all this if I need a return. If has to be simple at least.

Overview: This is a nice little machine for a reasonable price. Thin, lightweight, and full-powered. Build quality is acceptable-better than your standard consumer-grade machine, although not up to the standards of a Thinkpad (a true Thinkpad, not one the watered-down value lines Lenovo has recently introduced), an E6XXX Latitude, or Elitebook. On the other hand, it is (again) thinner and lighter than most business machines, and packs a surprising amount of processing power considering its form factor.Pros:
1. Thin and light-ideal for travel, especially with the small AC adapter.
2. Good battery life. 5 hours is easily achieved with the stock battery with brightness at about 70%, wifi on, and browsing/office app work. This is actually excellent when one takes into account the CPU and physical size of the machine.
3. Docking connector. If you use docks, you'll understand why this is so important. If not, try a dock (a true dock-not a USB aftermarket model) and you will never purchase another work machine that does not have a native docking connection. The Toshiba dock is not cheap, but is full-featured and integrates perfectly, with no hot-plugging issues.
4. Horsepower. Powerful CPU, good enough on the graphics front for business and dual monitors, plenty of RAM support, and the stock HDD is good (throw in an SSD to make the machine really fly).
5. Matte screen. It's not glossy. Enough said. Brightness is good enough for indoors work, but not quite there in the sun.
6. Trackpad off button. Very handy for typing, to prevent random cursor movement and clicks.
7. Fingerprint reader that actually works well.
Cons:
1. Heat and noise. There is no way around this, really. Cram a high-power CPU and an optical drive into a thin machine, and this is the price. Fan revs up really quickly, even under light load, and the constant ramping up and slowing down can be annoying. The machine also gets toasty under load, enough to be a bit uncomfortable.
2. No touchpoint/trackpoint. If I used this machine as an actual laptop most of the time, as opposed to keeping it docked, this would be a deal-breaker. But, if you are not a trackpoint fan, this should not bother you at all.
3. Gaudy chrome accents on the trackpad buttons and hinges. Yes, this is nitpicky, but if accents must be used, at least make them real metal.
Other:
1. As mentioned, build quality is OK. Don't expect this machine to survive abuse like a full-fledged business machine.
2. Built-in camera and mic work perfectly well for videoconferencing, although the native speakers do not get terribly loud.
3. The screen is a typical TN panel, but not horrible. It is usable with decent viewing angles (for a TN) and a serviceable resolution.
4. Not sure how cluttered the machine is on the factory image; I have read reports that it is quite cluttered, so users should be aware that a clean install may be called for.
5. Screen hinge seems quite tight. Again, not Thinkpad heavy-duty, but the screen is very thin and light, so I don't anticipate they will be problematic.
6. Keyboard is island-style and OK. It's a bit difficult to describe-if you press the keys individually, they seem quite stiff and unimpressive. However, in actual use, it is actually quite decent. I would not hate my life if I had to use this keyboard extensively.
7. There is an optical drive. Big plus if you need one, but these days, it's not quite a deal maker or breaker.
Conclusion: No big surprises here. Price is ultimately going to be the deciding factor, unless some of the other features (especially the weight and slim profile) are selling points. In the $1K range, there is pretty stiff competition from the Thinkpad X2XX and Elitebook 2XXX series. The newer version (R800 series) reportedly improves on what I perceive to be the biggest issue with this model-heat (and subsequently noise). The latest version of the i5 (Sandy Bridge) uses a 32nm process for the GPU and almost certainly has some additional power optimizations.
12/21/2011 update
Having used this notebook for a few months, here are some additional observations:
1. The CPU really needs an SSD to stretch its legs. A G2 80GB Intel makes a noticeable difference, and is well-worth the cost. Swapping the drive out is a simple matter, and Intel provides free migration software for easy cloning. This performance boost should not have come as a surprise, but the difference never fails to impress me. I expect slightly longer batter life as well, but have not tested yet.
2. The speakers are seriously weak and lacking. An external speaker is a requirement if using this to share content/give presentations.
3. The palm rest area is a bit too flexible. The mag-alloy is solid enough, but there does not appear to be a rigid underlayer. Picking the system up by the left side causes the fan to compress a bit and results in a slightly disturbing grinding noise.
4. Battery life is quite good, but a spare is highly recommended if you use this for CPU-intensive work. Nonetheless, a full charge will only drain ~45-55% in the course of 2 hours of a media-rich presentation streaming over WebEx.
5. Noise/heat remain weak points. The fan has a very steep ramp-up curve, and this can get quite annoying during meetings. I'd wager that the fan noise alone would be enough to give away the fact that you are watching videos/playing games instead of paying attention. Even at idle, the fan is noisy enough such that the system is never silent. With an SSD, my ThinkPads have been essentially noise-free at equal workloads; the Toshiba is quiet most of the time for emails, light Office app work, etc, but you know it's there.
6. Fingerprint reader works quite well. Much less picky than previous generations, and is actually useful enough to be a viable alternative to inputting passwords with the KB.
7. Keyboard becomes squeaky and annoying over time, even with light use. I amend my previous comment about it-I actually would hate my life if I had to use it exclusively.
Conclusion: Not sure why anyone would be considering this particular model for personal use, but if your company purchased one for you, do whatever it takes to convince your IT department to upgrade you to a good SSD.

I'm very happy with this machine. I got tired of lugging my 8 pound multimedia "laptop". It was a fine machine and still in use, but I really needed to downsize the machine to save my back and shoulders. This is a fine PC, good LCD, good keyboard with a nice "feel" to it, decent speed, etc. I'm quite content with the machine and it's a very welcome addition to my road warrior kit. This laptop is pretty fast for home use. I basically use it for the internet, social networking and games like farmville and I have no complaints with performance. Really like the look of the helios black finish and bright, vivid screen. Don't like the look of the keys much, they look dull, especially the gray function keys. But they are soft touch and feel good when typing. Not really an issue, just being picky.The touchpad is not overly sensitive as others have said. I actually have clicked on items that I didn't intend to while trying to scroll a page but it just takes some practice in getting to know how to use the touch pad properly. I don't accidentally touch it when typing at all. I guess it depends on how you position your hands when typing. And I love the pinch feature to expand the screen.
The built in webcam, mic and speakers work great; was skyping with no problems. Battery lasts close to 4 hours. Laptop is light. Basically a great laptop, and good price for the specs.

PROS-It's got all the features you could name, like a DVD player, a mic, a webcam (though not a great one),USB 2.0, USB 3.0, SD card slot, etc.
-Easy to set up.
-Boot time: it takes about 15-20 seconds to turn on!
-It's big, at 15.6 inches, but this may be a con depending on the way you look at it.
-Trackpad supports two-finger scrolling and pinch-to-zoom.
-Performance is quite snappy.
-Overall a great value.
CONS
Not great design-wise.
-Battery life; it's not great, and it can vary largely. Sometimes it'll last for 100 minutes, other times 200. It's also unusual about notifying you when your battery is low; it warns you when you only have 10% left, but sometimes it won't even notify you before hibernating.
-Speakers are not that great.
-Charger broke in a couple months; had to pay $70 for a new one.
-Screen's resolution is not very good at all.
Overall a very good device. If you want a full-featured, reliable Windows laptop for a low price, this may be one of your best bets.

I received this laptop as a gift from the Microsoft Intern Signature 2012 event. It was a close call since I was about to buy a new ultrabook and wasn't really even considering this one. I had been really hyped up on the new Asus Zenbook UX32VD, which is i7 and discrete graphics with a price tag a slight cheaper than this one.But when I saw the design and form factor of this Samsung, I guess my initial impression was to give it a shot before maybe trying to sell it in for the Asus.
PROS:
* Display is extremely bright and vivid, even better than the Asus LED back-lit monitor that I have. I seriously just use it at half brightness because it is THAT bright.
* FAST BOOT. I boot from cold at around 5 SECONDS. And less than 1 SECOND from sleep. THAT BLEW MY MIND. This is under the new Windows 8 though, which is supposed to be much faster than Windows 7.
* EXTREMELY THIN, it is the thinnest and coolest looking laptop arguably out there. It is made of PURE aluminum and it is freezing cold to the touch :D.
The brush aluminum is very nice, and it truly feels like it was carved out from a solid block of metal.
* Gaming is OK. I could play SCII on native resolution, with all texture set on low. This laptop is not made for gaming, so if you are planning to do so, expect the fan to run very loudly, and the heating to increase significantly.
* During regular use, it stays very cool and SILENT LIKE A NINJA.
* Battery life is powerful, I can easily get 6+ hours for regular activities (web, reading, word). This is considering that the brightness is so high.
* Versatile power saving controls (even has light sensitive controlled back-light). You can also control whether the fan turns on or not.
* Touchpad is HUGE, and very macbook pro like if you get latest driver with the great gestures. For a windows touch pad, I'd rate it 8-9 out of 10.
CONS:
* 128 gb SSD, is way to little for a $1400 laptop
* I was disappointed with just having an i5 for this price... for the same I could have gone with the Asus zenbook UV 32 VD.
* Fan DOES kick in during gaming :(
* The resolution of 1600 x 900 is only 2nd best to the Asus Zenbook's 1900 x 1080 resolution.
* Number of USB id only two, with only one was USB 3.0.
Conclusion?
This is a unique laptop that does offer some great perks if you pay the price. It doesn't blow the competitors in EVERY factor, but it certainly does in looks, battery life, display brightness/vividness, boot time, and portability.
If you are looking for a business/executive level sexy laptop that'll get the ladies. This one is it. Though if you are going to use it for a lot of work, plan to buy a USB 3.0 external drive bro. The price per performance isn't very good since you have to pay the premium design price, but I believe you do get more bang out of buck for this over the current mac Air.
Other laptops I'd recommend if you are looking into this category would be the Asus Zenbook UX32VD or UX31A (better resolution and processor for same price). The new Visio's also looks promising as well. Also remember that there IS a i7 version of this Samsung Series 9!

However after looking at the specs and talking to a few IT buddies they convinced me that this Ultrabook would be just as good only way more portable. And they were right. The 15 inch screen is certainly big enough for my purposes and after testing it with my favorite processing power hungry programs (Camtasia and Dragon Naturally Speaking) it didn't miss a beat.
So now I have a sleek, awesome looking Ultrabook that does everything I need and handles my programs with ease. I thought it was going to be a pain in the butt to keep storing things on external hard drives but have found the process of saving working files to and from my 1TB external drive via USB 3.0 to be much better than I expected. My old desktop didn't have USB3.0 so I was used to much slower file transfer times (I love upgrading to newer technology and being pleasantly surprised).
All in all the Samsung series 9 looks amazing, like all Ultrabooks is light and portable, and from the point of view of a user who doesn't do anything too crazy on it besides surfing the web, watching the odd movie, writing articles for my site (using voice recognition software mostly), and editing a few HD videos for YouTube channel, I have found it to be an excellent purchase.

Bought the latest version of the Series 9 Samsung series 9 15" i7 processor model from Australia (AU). I was planning on buying a MacBook Air but when I went to the shop I found this Samsung laptop that had just landed in AU. Looked great and the shop keeper raved on about it, so I decided to buy it. What was not to like, 15" screen, 8Gb of RAM, i7 Processor.. seemed too good to be true and yes it was.I found the laptop very fast locally when doing things, but as soon as you start using the WiFi it becomes extremely slow. I am a network guy by profession and have built some very large WiFi and LAN/WAN networks for some very large corporates, therefore I know what I am talking about. I tweaked all the settings on the laptop, tried to find the latest driver for the Intel Centrino but here was none. Tweaked my Apple Airport Extreme settings and still no luck, I then also took the laptop to work and also tried with another WiFi router but still no luck. The issue was that I always got a very good signal, but the traffic throughput was extremely slow. I even compared the throughput with a very old HP Laptop running only 802.11b and it was still a lot faster then the Samsung.
Googled the issue after mucking around for two weeks on this and then found that others were having the same issue too and the only way to resolve it is by connecting up an external WiFi dongle. This is not what I wanted, therefore called Samsung for a refund but they just wanted to fix the laptop, extremely frustrated I sold the laptop on e-bay and recovered my outlay. I have now bough another brand laptop and am extremely happy.
BTW. I called up the shop from where I bought the Laptop and they said that they have had several other complaints about the same issue.. apparently it has to do with the casing. The shop however would not give me a refund as I was out of the two week cool off period.
I am extremely disappointed with this laptop and would definitely not recommend this to anyone. Only good if you are not planning on using the WiFi.

Overall this is such a great product with very few let downs. I'll try and keep descriptions shortPros:
I love the brightness of the screen, and the fact that it is matte means I can use it in bright lighting conditions without the glare.
I don't understand this talk about poor travel... the travel on this keyboard is more than adequate for me
It is very thin. Some people have even confused it for a folder when I take it with me.
Another thing I really like about this is the amazing battery life. I can go through a whole day without having to recharge
The subtle keyboard back light is a very subtle touch that I really like as its not a distraction at night like other back lights can be.
The track pad is quite good (best I've ever seen on a windows laptop) and easy to use apart from a few things.
I love the chassis, its so sleek and sexy + it is so light and easy to carry around ( I think I sorta mentioned that previously)
Ok Stuff:
The sound isn't spectacular but its still very adequate for listening to music and its surprisingly a lot louder than I thought it would be. Sometimes if you turn it up really loud it does sound tinny but this doesn't happen a lot unless you are listening to the high-mids.
The track pad two finger scrolling isn't like apples. Not a hardcore apple fan but we use them at school and its always confusing when you have to switch two-finger scrolling techniques.
The screen is really nice but you'll noticed its a little washed out on some angles. By no means should that be a deterrent because its still really nice when looking at directly like normal people do. The detail is quite crisp too.
Cons:
Oh track pad, why must you not two-finger scroll very fluidly? It can be an annoyance when you are two-finger scrolling and take your fingers off the track pad. You expect it to scroll down a lot and lose momentum which it does but it lags a little potentially and driver issue that could be resolved in the future
If you tap the right side of the track pad it doesn't register clicks and that is slightly annoying.
Conclusion: I may have rambled a bit about minute problems but I really do love this 'ultrabook' with a passion. It is amazingly thin and easy to carry around + it has an amazing and bright matte screen that I know you will love. Those concerns people have about washed out colour of the screen are nothing to worry about. This is an awesome device I recommend you get it. GO SAMSUNG!

Happy with the laptop, with the exception of so many programs preinstalled on it that the 128mb hard drive is actually under 50gb upon arrival. VERY disappointed that reformatting it does not solve this issue. Not many programs come off easily.

I ordered one of these from Dell sight unseen. I ordered the Ubuntu Linux version customized with an 8gb SSD, 1gb of RAM, no Bluetooth and no Webcam. it's a great little computer. I mostly got it for checking email, surfing the web and making Skype calls while I'm traveling. Small size and light weight were the main features I was looking for. The Mini 9 is half the size and weight of my full size laptop.I chose Dell over Asus and Acer because I think Dell makes better quality products. The Asus eeePC looks kind of cheaply made. I didn't order the Acer, because I've had hardware problems with Acers in the past and Acer tech support pissed me off. The HP netbooks look good, but I've been a bid Dell fan for years. Dell is also the only manufacturer that ships netbook computers with Ubuntu, the most popular Linux operating system. I am switching to Linux because Microsoft pissed me off with Windows Vista. I switched to Ubuntu Linux on my full size old Dell laptop as well.
So here is my review. This little computer is very solid and well built. I think it will last for years, like the other Dell products I've owned in the past. The battery life is good. It's rated at 4 hrs, but other reviewers claim 3 1/2 hours. That's still pretty good. The card reader slot is a nice feature. I picked up a 4gb SD card from Amazon for $10 for extra storage. Some XP users even get a 16gb SD card and move their My Documents folder to it do save hard drive space. The 8.9 inch 1024x600 screen is very sharp. It's a great quality screen, but it is kind of small. Oldsters will need to get out their reading glasses to use it. I think any computer this small would have the same problem though. I would give this computer 5 stars, but the keyboard takes some getting used to. Some of the keys like ' are hard to find and the shift key is small. I find myself hitting the touchpad while typing and it makes the cursor jump all around. Now I use a USB mouse instead of the touchpad. It works a lot better that way. I can live with the small keyboard. It's just a compromise for the small size, weight and portability.

The common problems with these machinesinclude the SSD failure after only 3 years.
You can bet, dell tech support will cost as much as a replacement SSD (about $50 for 16gb).
Really, a defective product.

DI ordered my Dell Mini 9 on 9/20/08. The battery has failed and won't charge. I wish I had checked other brands before I ordered this one. The hard drive is small and there is no CD/DVD drive. I purchased an external drive (Targus) and found that I had to purchase software to support the DVD drive. Very disappointed.

I absolutely love this little machine! It is so fast and takes up very little space. I was able to hook up my sound sytem and printer/scanner to it. I am very pleased and think it was an excellent buy for the cost.

It is a well built computer that despite it's age is very good for basic computing and tasks that are required such as using iWork's , office 08. RAM might be need a small boost but leaving that aside it is a very good computer that will serve my child very well for her high school years. Great piece of hardware to introduce someone to Mac OS without having to buy a new one.

Nokia Booklet 3G looks great and fashioned, little bit similar to Apple Macbooks Pro. It's nice to touch it, you'll feel the good quality of aluminum body. Everything seems good before you will turn on this netbook...1. I don't know who was that crazy people who decided to use WINDOWS 7 on that device as a factory default!
It's TERRIBLY SLOW! Memory (RAM) is not upgradable and you have to be happy with 1Gb RAM ONLY!
I turned off all Windows 7 animations and other features. But even after that Nokia Booklet 3G can NOT play DVD/MPEG2 files without time delays. For what reason they placed HDMI out here? I can't use MPEG2 so it'll be absolutely impossible to use .MKV or other HD formats.
2. Display quality is very bad and absolutely not contrast. After Mac's, Nokia's dispay looks like faded, it's impossible to use it outside home at open sun you will see nothing! Use it only at night time outside home or in the car.
But I don't think it is a big problem. First was much bigger!
3. GPS works great with Google Earth after manual GPS receiver activation (you may google instructions). I don't like Nokia OVI and other Nokia software. Also you will not find preloaded maps here!
4. 3G workes great but I killed all Nokia and AT&T software because it was very unstable. What for I have to use it if Windows have all that software by the default? Don't use Nokia/AT&T software to connect to the internet! Lots of bugs there...
So. My conclusion is:
Nice outside, but horrible inside! The slowest netbook in the world!

I own a black Nokia Netbook which i bought for my wife to basically surf the internet. I bought it for almost half the list price when one of the stores had a great discount on. After using the netbook for a couple of months, here are my comments:Pros:
1. sleek design-Aluminum uni-body construction comparable to apple computers
2. solid build-feels good in your hands unlike the cheap acer (which i also own!)
3. Battery Lifefantastic! Atleast 8 hrs between charges is what i get out of it.
4. Great Webcamhigh resolution and very good for chatting
5. Keyboardfeels good and has the spongy, cushy feedback
6. Internet connectivitygood network speeds
7. HDMI portgood to be able to connect it to you HDTV directly and play your home videos but the processor does not support playing HD Videos
8. DisplayHigh resolution (1280x720) 10.1" LCD display that works well even in a brightly lit sunroom
9. 3G-the SIM card slot comes built-into the device, so you have a choice to either use the 3G by inserting the SIM card into the slot or just use the netbook by itself without the SIM card. I dont use a sim card for 3G connectivity but it worked great when i tested it.
Cons:
1. Priceridiculous price. dont know what the folks at Espoo were thinking! Around $250 would have had this selling like hot cakes (Are'nt most netbooks in the market priced around that price??)
2. Processorslow. that makes multi-tasking a challenge
3. Ram1GB non-upgradable-Poor BUT if you pop in an SD Card in the slot, the machine automatically recognizes the free space and prompts to use the free space on the card as additional RAM. I usually pop-in an unused 2GB card in the slot when am not transferring photos and that really gives it a shot in the arm. This feature is a standard on all windows OS but you generally have to go to the control panel to set it up and it is set by default in the Nokia netbook-so thats a good thing
4. NO HD Video support-thats a bummer for such a fine piece of equipment.The processor is just too weak to handle HD videos. All you get is choppy videos! if only Nokia had used the newer dual core atom processors, it would have definitely given the competition a run for the money with HD Video support and built-in HDMI port
5. NO Ethernet PortI did'nt realize it till i went to a place where they did not have wireless internet and i wanted to connect this using the Ethernet cable and it was missing! I am sure the ethernet port would have fit in the dimensions of the netbook but it is missing!
Conclusion: This is a good product for the $250 I paid. It is good for surfing the internet and to watch SD movies on long haul flights without having to worry about charging the device frequently. It is handy enough that my wife can hold the baby in one hand and the netbook in the other when she is showing the baby off to the grandparents on skype! I take it to parties with me to show our pics to friends/family and have a good conversation. It fits well in my wife's handbag that we don't have to lug a laptop bag nor a charger around in those parties! Overall, this is better than my acer netbook for doing the simple things in life. It is no way a gaming machine nor a home media center substitute but is just fine for everyday tasks like browsing, facebook, email, twitter, video chatting etc.

I bought a used in good condition blue Nokia netbook about $250. I really like it. Aluminum body look like Apple Macbooks pro. Light weight easy to go around. Silence of work (no cooler fan) and long life bettery about 12 hours. High resolution (1280x720) 10.1" LCD. HDMI made you watch HD movie on HDTV easily. I upgraded Window 7 starter to home premium. The Charger of the Nokia Computer is brittle at the cable base on the charger side on the side that goes from the charger to the Netbook plug.

Update to my original review: After having this computer for a few months now, I must say I'm not quite happy with it. I am always having internet connection problems and I have to go through the troupleshooting just to get a connection!? Also, realized the volume controls are controlled by having to press Alt+F4 for up and Alt+F5 for down AND with no back light keys, it's not very easy to do when in the dark. Still having trouble using the "instant" web feature. Now I'm stuck with it as my return window has expired.This is my first Sony and just bought it a few days ago. It seems to be a good computer and and still learning and the bells and whistles. Having trouble accessing the "instant" web feature as you have to do the internet set up AGAIN after the initial set up. I gave it a 3-star because of having to duplicate the internet set up and for poor speaker sound quality (doesn't sound very loud).

Spent 4 hours with Sony techs (did you reboot? Did you try another browser? did you try another movie?) trying to resolve why Netflix HD content stutters and falls out of synch. Just on this computer, and justd HD content. Can't fix it back it goes.

The laptop came ready to go out of the box but not before I replaced the existing 4 GB ram with an 8 GB set. It comes loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit and I was also delighted to find out that there wasn't much bloatware but definitely enough to warrant a clean wipe. I then installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. This PC plays Max Payne 3 at 1336x768(high) with normal settings(such as texture quality) on, and Skyrim plays at high smoothly and ultra at a mostly playable framerate! Im amazed considering how cheap this laptop is! I played the games as vannila as the computer was out of the box, so no overclocking, modding, etc. The fans do a great job, keeping the computer at a just below warm temperature when gaming, and cool when browsing/ doing light loads on cpu. Don't let the 1.5 ghz scare ya, you can still overclock since the computer came unlocked. Laptop came 1 day early, Monday, when it was supposed to come Tuesday.
