Dell Inspiron mini 9 - BLACK, Intel® Atom Processor® N270 1.6 Ghz , 1 GB DDR2 at 533MHz, 8GB Solid State Drive, EXTERNAL Portable CD/DVD-RW, Glossy 8.9 inch LED display, Integrated 0.3M Pixel Webcam, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950, Wireless 802.11g Mini Card, Ubuntu LinuxBefore searching do a simple search on 'netbooks' and buy anything else. Over $600 for a 1Gb, Linux 9" netbook? My goodness, I can find the same specs for around $250. I guess fools with money will always find a way to flow their wad...I guess this would be one way.

I purchased a Mini 9, black obsidian color, with 1.6 Ghz Atom processor, 16 GB solid state drive, 1 GB memory, external portable CD/DVD-RW, integrated webcam, GMA 950, wireless 802.11g, and Windows XP. This netbook boots up Windows XP very swiftly, plays NetFlix movies via wireless/DSL without a single screen blip or stutter, sound is quite good (headphones best when watching a movie or listing to music, very good stereo sound, and the built in speakers are adequate for regular browsing). DVDs and other media play excellently as well. My Firefox browser can be viewed full screen, and screen quality is good and easy on the eyes (very crisp and clear, good color). With a 4 GB Sandisk card I have 20 GB of disk space in total, which is more than enough for portability on vacation, to school, to the beach, the airport or on a plane, wherever I just need connection but don't need all the major attributes of a desktop system or bulky heavy 15 inch laptop. The battery lasts me 3 hours with my screen brightness down to mid level before my battery-low alarm sounds, and the battery charges very swiftly. The power cord is very lightweight and not bulky. I'm glad I made this purchase.
