Sony VAIO(R) SVS13122CXP 13.3" Notebook PC - Pink

Sony VAIO(R) SVS13122CXP 13.3' Notebook PC - PinkI love this laptop. For the girls who love pink, you'll really love this one. It's a beautiful classy pink ... professional looking.

PROS:

Great graphics, great screen resolution, great size, lightweight. The technical details under the laptop says it weighs 8lbs ... but it definitely does not. It weighs 3.80.

The sound is nice and clear. My last Sony had pitiful speakers, which is not common, at least with the Sony laptops I've owned, but this little pink baby sounds pretty good to me. Nice, clear, and pretty loud.

The laptop picture on this ad makes it look pretty "thick." It's not. It's flat and sleek looking. Really beautiful. If you go to the Sony website (Sony.com) and search laptops and then select the 11"-13" size screens, you'll find this laptop, and you'll see different views and what it really looks like.

The laptop is very quiet. I have another Sony laptop, and it's pretty noisy at times (running in the background).

The CD/DVD slot is amazing. I didn't understand when I ordered it, but there's NO drawer that pops out. You just push the CD/DVD in until it's automatically "grabbed." It's called "slot loading optical drive." I love it!!!

The back-lit keyboard is nice. I can take this little laptop to bed and type without waking the hubby with the lights on.

Here's your PORTS, and there's everything you'd need ... Ports [2 x USB 3.0] ... [1 x USB 2.0 (charge)] ... Headphone Output ... VGA ... HDMI ... Port Replicator Connector.

I bought my laptop from DataVision Computer and I got it quite a bit faster than they said I would. I was impressed.

I haven't made use of all the features of this laptop yet, but so far I love it. It's everything I wanted and more. All the software I loaded, went on fast and not one complication. I even love the Windows 8. I've heard some folks say they don't like Windows 8, but I love it. Plus, you get to keep your "normal" desktop view if you prefer. The Windows 8 desktop has a big button that takes you right back to your "normal' desktop view if you prefer.

I think you will love this laptop. I'm looking for a "purse-like" laptop bag so I can take it with me places. I'm always updating my files, and working on something, so this small, lightweight laptop makes it easy to carry along. And with all the new sharing APS and abilities to SHARE from one PC to the next, I can work on one of my laptops and easily keep all laptops updated.

CONS:

My only gripe is the Kaspersky virus software that was pre-installed on the laptop, and some may consider that a plus. I like the Microsoft Defender that comes with Windows 8. At first I couldn't get the Defender turned on, but I finally realized I had to go into Kaspersky and turn it off, and then I was given a window with the option to either turn it back on, or turn Defender on. I know Kaspersky is probably good (I've heard good reports about it), but why buy it (there's only a trial on the laptop), when I can get Defender for free and I've never had a virus since I've used Microsoft's free virus software (Microsoft Security Essentials only compatible with Windows 7 and some earlier versions), and (Microsoft Defender compatible with Windows 8).

One more thing ... I wish the laptop had come with more than just Microsoft Office 2010 trial, but I don't know of any that come with more than a trial any more. I did get a really good deal on the software from Amazon. Speaking of which, Amazon is my favorite place to shop. Great, great customer service. They really do stand behind there stuff, even if you order it from another company on the Amazon website.

You should buy this laptop if you're looking for just the right size, classy, sleek, fast, great screen resolution, and many more features in the hardware and software. You'll love it!
