well i was a toshiba fan for years until recently i it let me down so i did the reviews and i got the asus had best rewiews so i put it to test k series with windowns 8 which was somewhat different but i figured it out in about 2 days bottom line its a smooth laptop great speed power sound quality battery life best machine u will get for the price its lacking some design when it comes to keyboard and the power button its very simple but incredibly fast i would deff recommend it specially for the price i would not get nothing else i was skeptical at first because i was not familiar with asus i took a chance and i wont be going back to toshiba now

Well I just bought this product from BestBuy, which is a lot of cheaper than here by around 170 dollars. And all I can say about this is that, this laptop's amazing. It runs really fast and it's battery life is long. I highly recommend this laptop, only if this is with Windows 7 it would've been better.

This computer is not a cloud computer, it is standard kind. the instant on feature shortens the wakeup from sleep mode or hibernation, not instant on like cloud computers. I own the K55A-DB51.

I purchased this and spent nearly 4 hours with a friend (who is a computer geek) attempting to set up email and adjust the date/time which were incorrect. After numerous attempts to set up an email account other than microsoft; gave up and put the laptop back in the box to be returned. We were not able to add an email account other than windows live and were not successful adjusting the date/time due to the inabiilty to create the administrator account. The laptop seemed to do well and the battery lasted the entire time we spent trying to figure out windows 8. I would stay away from this unless you work for microsoft or have a microsoft technician or programmer friend who does! We thought about trying to delete the OS and replace with another OS; figured that would probably take the remainder of the day! I also considered a call to asus support and figured I would reach someone in another country that I could not understand. Easier to put back in the box and go for a refund!
