I've had this computer for a little over a month now, and it's doing everything that I need from it. I use it to create slideshows, work on training videos, music, and video games, and it does everything without ever slowing down. The areas that light up are cool for some people, I personally don't use them. The AlienFX allows for you to switch their color between fifteen or so colors, of if you're like me, it allows you to turn them off. It's got enough memory to allow one to have a music player, a movie maker, microsoft powerpoint, and Google Chrome with about twenty tabs open, and the computer never slows down. It's a rather large, and heavy computer, but well worth the pricetag.The only problem I've faced with it, is one pixel went dead in the top right corner of my screen. That's it, but it is from the fact that I've spent nearly four days flying and after I opened it up. It was there. I'm not worried, it doesn't bug me any when I'm doing any of my work.
In my opinion, if you do a lot of work on your personal laptop, this is something you definitely need to invest in. If you do a lot of work for the government on your personal laptop, once again, this is definitely something to buy.

My brother, a Computer Scientist, hated it when he found out that I bought this laptop without checking with him. He's replaced the hard drive with a solid state hard drive. He also threw away the 6GB RAM that came with the laptop and replaced those with new 16GB RAM. Seriously. It works. Quickly too. Windows 7 takes some getting used to, but it's intuitive for the most part. The laptop itself is solid, nifty color schemes.
