I bought this just before Christmas for almost $200 less than it is going for right now ($), and for that price it is awesome. For $800 it is excellent, but maybe a little pricey. It's fast, Windows 7 is excellent, has a large HDD, plenty of RAM, dual core Processor, and a very nice screen. The person I gave it to as a gift LOVES the shiny shell, and the keyboard, but I don't like either of those features. I do love that it is a Toshiba since I am writing this review on a 4 year old Toshiba Satellite, and it is still running flawlessly after 4 hard years of (ab)use.The only actual flaw this laptop has is that the speakers are HORRENDOUS! I mean absolutely horrible! Pointless even. I had to buy a separate set to plug into the headphone jack in order to hear anything. And I thought the speakers on my old Toshiba were bad!
I have even contacted Toshiba about the uselessness of these speakers; but they have yet to respond.
It looks beautiful and the number pad next to the qwerty keyboard is absolutely awesome. The touchpad is flush with the surface of the laptop's casing, but it's actually better that way once you get used to it.
All in all, for the price, it's a damn good and pretty looking computer.Great computer. Does everything you could want. Four gigs ram, fast and beautiful picture. Unless you're into gaming, it can't be beat.
