Lenovo Essential B590 15.6" Business Notebook PC - 59359397

I had a 2 year old Toshiba with similar specs die on me, mother board...never again purchase one of those. Needed fast replacement. Work and existing computers all on windows 7. I want to keep them compatible and so far not a fan of Windows 8.

Note: New laptop computer shows no indication of Win-7 OS, actually a Win 8 sticker, but it is installed. Also comes with Win 8 upgrade CD.

Ram could use a kick, but since its so cheap right now, that's easy and upgraded before first use.

I had 4GB laying around so started with that. Maybe 6 wouldn't hurt. This is my first Lenovo, a few differences. MBAM anti-malware thought the rapid boot was problematic. Added exe and registry to ignore and so far running great.

Good laptop for the price. Called regarding the OS. Excellent customer service.

we just ordered 17 of these for work. 1 had a bad fan, 8 have basically useless wifi see this thread for how poorly lenovo is responding to this known wireless issue:

i have purchased almost 200 lenovo/thinkpads since 2006. very disappointed in this model.

These computers had a ton of updates that needed to be done which took several hours for them all to be installed correctly and they run quite a bit slower than expected/desired. Luckily we just use them mostly for the basic office stuff and email. They will work for low end users.

I think this was a Monday morning product. the screen froze up . I spent 3 hours trying to get the pc set up for me. finally gave up and sent it back
