Positives:
for people who want something similar to the looks of MacBook Air 13"
for people who need more storage space than the typical SSD provides (32 GB SSD+500 HD)
fast 8GB RAM
nice screen but with somewhat restrictive view angles
for people who don't need a touchscreen (model w/Touchscreen is some $300+ more expensive)
solid construction, well-made, good materials, good feel in your hands
solid, no flex keyboard
battery is about average to better than average
battery is replaceable (instructions come in the package on how to replace battery) which is great
ports are spaced enough
Negatives:
Windows 8 -this is either a seriously misunderstood OS or it's simply completely unintuitive. Hard to get to the actual work from all the distracting tiles on the Start screen. People who are more into creating/working with their computers rather than consuming content usually turn Win 8 into a Win 7-look-alike with Start button and bypass the Win 8 Start screen.
all necessary ports are there but an additional USB port would be great.
Overall, a solid and quality product from Sony. This product came out defective, on the fifteenth day turned off the computer for no reason, they said it was the hard drive, examined and corrected something making a scandisk, but now definitely hurt, wanted to know if any warranty applies as the disc damage hard

Love my new computer. It came in a timely manner with instructions to set it up. Windows 8 kind of sucks, but once you figure it out, it's ok. The machine itself is wonderful. I can't tell by looking at it that it's refurbished or a factory return or whatever. I'm just happy that I found it at a reasonable price.Read Best Reviews of Sony VAIO T Series SVT13127CXS 13.3-Inch Ultrabook (Silver) Here

This item was purchased for my daughter, who was under the impression that it was the Touch-screen model, and was disappointed that it was not. That said, she is overall happy with this machine, which is a considerable improvement on her old notepad. Many thanks.
