ASUS B43F-A1B 14-Inch Business Laptop - Black

I have had this for a couple weeks now and outside of a couple small program issues, this is a great machine. The second time I turned it on, it recognized my face and was logging me in before I even touched the keyboard. The built in hardware is well built and it's a very powerful machine.

The only real issue I've had is with Firefox 4.0 running on Win7 Pro. It takes several minutes to load Amazon.com product pages. Also, I had to re-install the fingerprint reader driver to get it working. Otherwise, I use this about 6-8 hours a day and it doesn't get too hot, it's fast, and has a way better keyboard than my previous Lenovo T400, which became very problematic after only 2 years of medium usage.

Great Laptop i bought it from amazon, the laptop works great, i upgraded the HDD to WD 750G 7200 rpms and also the RAM to 8Gb. I can run everything on it. The only issue could be if your gonna use it for games. SInce it doesn't have a dedicated video card it will not work fine for games. The laptop from outside looks fine/simple, also palm rest inside and LCD outside cover is black brushed aluminum. Also i have noticed at intensive applications running at max, the laptop doesn't get to hot at all.

I brought it from amazon at 499 which is a great price for this laptop.

Nothing too fancy here, just a solid computer for a good price. Didn't crash, screen is good, and isn't too heavy. Battary lasts long enough for me, too. Picked this one up at bestbuy but amazon has better price -should have grabbed it here!

I bought this machine in August of 2011 and have not looked back. I increased the ram to 8GB,

put in a MomentusXT 750 GB hybrid hard drive and it is great. Boot time is very good and program

response time is good. It has been all over South East Asia with me and power or heat has never

been an issue. It is rugged and quick for a first generation i5.

Hands down one of the best business laptops out there, except for 1 big

CON:

Terrible, terrible trackpad. I literally get 2 specks of dust on it and it becomes difficult to control my mouse and I have to wipe it. Since I only use this laptop for productivity, trackpad hiccups are only annoying and set me back half a second. Would NOT recommend this for anybody planning for heavy mouse usage, or anybody with a necessity for mouse accuracy (photo editing, gaming, etc.), unless you're considering buying a USB mouse.
