I have been using the legendary ThinkPad since the 2005. I had the T43 and then the X301. The X230 is different. The keypad is very good in typing and the buttons give quite a nice feel and sound when tying. Add to this the weight. It is quite light and easy to carry around which helps a lot in doing business away from office. Finnaly the processing power is amazing specially when compared with the light weight. In summary, the power of T43 I had before was great but it was not a portable laptop. The portability of the X301 was great but it went slow soon after I used it. The X230 made the perfect balance.TIP. Get an extra RAM at least another 4 or 8 GB.
