First, this purchase was a great value for the money. It performs great and looks good. The only draw back I have is the keyboard could be better and the graphics on the keys could be more pronounced. Not a deal breaker for me. I purchased this for my wife as a gift. She had to have Win 7 for her work but the laptop is compatible for Win 8 without doing anything that I can tell for the upgrade if it becomes necessary. She uses it for work and plays games on it mostly. I also added 4 more Gigs of memory which seems to make it run much better and I would recommend that upgrade. I have used it to stream Netfix to our TV through a HDMI cable and that works well, too. Battery life is good.
